Lower School Newspaper
In 2011, we began production of a Lower School newspaper and had great suvccess with children's enthusiasm. As an after school class, chidlren in different grades (3 - 5) have been focused on learning about the process, improving their writing skills, and having a ton of fun along the way.
Different lower school grade levels have taken turns on production of issues during the fall, winter, and spring semesters. This lends to variety in content and more one-on-one lessons with the grade-specific teachers.
The budding journalists will continue to learn about reporting, writing, editing, and publishing as the fledgling publication develops. Final issues will be available on the MPH site and limited hard copies in lower school classrooms.
This year the newspaper is called The Rolling Pebble...check out the latest edition here!
