Get Involved

There are various ways you can get involved in the Alumni Program. Below are just a few examples of where volunteers are needed.

Connect with our Students!

Alumni are an amazing resource to our students and we are always eager to facilitate alumni-student relationships. One way you can help is by visiting campus (in person or via Skype) to talk to our students about your academic and professional accomplishments, your career path, college experience, etc. We are also interested in sharing your experiences via our website, social media accounts, and our alumni magazine, so please keep us informed. To get involved in this way, please fill out this form and we’ll contact you to arrange the details.

Class Agent

The Class Agent’s major role is to help us keep in touch with his/her classmates. We publish our alumni magazine, Reflections, and we ask Class Agents to gather information on their classmates for the Alumni Notes section of the magazine. After all, isn’t that the first part of the magazine that you read? We also ask our Class Agents to contact their classmates and offer them a personal invitation to any upcoming alumni event. The Class Agent is also used as a resource to help us identify other volunteers in their class.

Reunion Class Chairs

Each year we celebrate the special reunion classes (classes that graduated 5, 10, 15, 20, 25…years ago) during our annual Clambake Weekend in June. We are always looking for representatives from those classes to help us contact and communicate with their classmates.  Please consider volunteering! The Alumni Office staff will help – from mailings to updating class lists. Just let us know what you would like to do for your class reunion.

Regional Reunion Chair

If you would like to host a Regional Reunion in your area, let us know.  Our Regional Reunions attract anywhere from five to fifty alumni. They can be in the form of a small dinner party, a cocktail party, or an informal gathering at a local restaurant or bar.

Memorabilia

The Knox Farmhouse is filled with wonderful treasures of the past. Just recently we were able to organize the memorabilia in a way so that we are able to easily access the items to use as resources or to display. Included in the archives are thousands of pictures and newspaper articles that still need to be sorted and identified. Volunteers are also needed to help us select items to display around the school and at alumni reunions and events. It is a lot of fun to look through the history of the Manlius School, Pebble Hill School, and MPH.
