Giving to MPH

A Letter from the Director of Development

When people find out that I am a director of development, I get a lot of raised eyebrows. “How did you end up in that job” or “I could never do that”, are just a few of the responses I hear. I won’t lie, fundraising isn’t always easy, but fundraising for MPH has proven to be rewarding far beyond my expectations.

So, why do I feel so passionately for a School that I didn’t attend in a city far from my Chicago “home?” The answer can be summed up in two words: the people.

Students: Everyday I see children eager and excited about learning. They have a passion for knowledge and a belief that they can change the world. MPH is giving them the equipment to do it.

Teachers: At MPH, eager students are cultivated by eager educators. I am amazed by the passion of our faculty. Giving a student extra help, mentoring a club, chaperoning a field trip or dance is not a chore to our teachers, but rather something them embrace.

Alumni: If MPH can be measured by the success of its product, our alumni speak for themselves. Our alumni are federal judges, entrepreneurs, educators, pilots, lawyers, doctors, volunteers, parents…the list goes on and on. I am blown away by what our alumni have done with their lives and excited to see where the next generation of alumni soar.

This is a place worthy of our support. Take a moment to explore our website, or better yet, call me to arrange a campus visit and see for yourself why MPH is a special place. I hope that you join me in supporting a place that is an oasis of hope in an ever-changing and challenging world.
