Annual Giving

During a recent phonathon in which student volunteers contacted alumni to solicit annual gifts, one of our 11th Grade students made an amazing statement. After placing several phone calls, he put down the phone and said, “Wait a second. Does this mean that a few years after I graduate, MPH is going to call me and ask me for money?” Then he added, “Because I will definitely give! I get it now!”

He really does get it. He understands that Annual Giving is a critical component of the overall health and vitality of the School. Without annual gifts, we would not be able to meet the School’s annual operating expenses.

Annual Giving dollars bridge the gap between tuition and the true cost of educating our students.  Because annual gifts are “unrestricted,” the School has the flexibility to use them where most needed at a given time – in areas such as student scholarships, upgrades in technology, facilities maintenance, and additional programming.  Annual gifts play a very significant role in making it possible for MPH to deliver the stellar education for which the School is known.

If you have made a gift to the Annual Giving Campaign, thank you. If you are considering a gift, remember the young man who now “gets it.” Your gift can help ensure that he – and all our students – continue to receive an exceptional education at MPH.

Credit Cards

We accept VISA or MasterCard. Please note that your gift will be dated on the day the credit card transaction is authorized. You may also have the School automatically charge your credit card each month. Call Sue Leahey, director of annual giving, at 315/446-2452 x 112 to make arrangements for a scheduled gift or to make a gift by telephone. Online gifts may be made on our giving page.

Securities

If you would like to donate securities to the School, please ask your broker to contact Sue Leahey, director of annual giving, at 315/446-2452 x 112 for stock transfer instructions. The School will mail you a receipt indicating the value of the stock on the day of the transfer.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many corporations offer matching gift programs for employees, retirees, and their families. Most programs match on a dollar-per-dollar basis, allowing you to double or even triple your gift. Simply contact your human resource director and secure a matching gift form, which should be sent to the School with your gift. We will then fill out our portion of the form and return it to your corporation.
