Linguanauts  for Winter 2012!

MPH is proud to continue its popular Community Programs classes in World Languages for children. These classes are open to any 2nd-5th graders in the Syracuse community. Each themed class is an hour and includes whole group, paired, and one-on-one activities with a hands-on approach that encourages exploration and investigation in the target language. The teacher will use repetition and motion to help students become familiar and comfortable with words, phrases, and songs in authentic conversational patterns.

MPH Linguanauts was first developed as a summer immersion camp to better meet the needs of families in Central New York who were looking for language learning opportunities for their children. Early immersion is the most effective methodof teaching children when they are at their prime for learning a second language. Unfortunately, the reality is that many schools do not begin language instruction until children are past their peak for optimal learning. Early exposure to languages, like that of the MPH Linguanauts program, is designed to engage children in fun and memorable language learning.
