MPHMUN 2006

Delegates, Advisors, and Staff:

Let us be the first to welcome you to Manlius Pebble Hill Model United
Nations 2006. With the start of the new school year comes another year of Model United Nations debate for the students of the Syracuse area and beyond.

MPHMUN 2006 will be one of the earliest conferences of the year and we trust it will be an excellent start to a school year of stimulating debate and negotiation, both for experienced and new delegates to MUN. Assuredly, it will be an excellent transition from a summer of repose to a year of spirited MUN debate.

MPH students and faculty have worked rigorously to ensure preparedness and fluidity in the proceedings of the upcoming conference and we are
confident that the eighth year of MPHMUN will exceed the high quality of
debate set by its first seven years. To ensure this, the topics of debate will be
specific, innovative, and challenging; chairs will exhibit temperance and insight; and delegates will be encouraged to work creatively and cooperatively.

The conference will be held on Saturday, October 28th, 2006 on the MPH
campus in DeWitt, NY. This should prove a convenient location that requires little tedious traveling. The conference will run resolution style and its duration will be one day, so hotel arrangements will not be necessary and it should not interfere with class time. Again, thank you
for participating in MPHMUN 2006. See you on the 28th.
