Athletic Booster Club

Manlius Pebble Hill’s Athletic Booster Club (ABC) is a parent volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the experience and enjoyment of athletics by the entire MPH community – our student athletes, fellow students, families, alumni, faculty, and friends of the School. All MPH parents are considered members of the ABC and are invited to become involved in ABC activities and programs.

What We Do
            The ABC frequently helps accommodate needs that cannot be met by the School’s operating budget alone. It has providing funding for field maintenance and the purchase of training equipment requested by coaches, for instance, and has underwritten the cost of sports clinics for both students and coaches. The ABC has also funded special programs designed to introduce Lower School children and their families to the fundamentals of specific sports.
            Several years ago, the Athletic Booster Club spearheaded creation of the MPH Weight Room and Orso Body Shop, which houses weight training and exercise equipment, much of it purchased by the ABC. The equipment is available to students in physical education classes and those engaged in both sport-specific training and general exercise.
            The Athletic Booster Club also operates the MPH Wiener Wagon, a concession business that sells pizza, drinks, and other snacks at home athletic games. The organization sells cases of “MPH20” bottled water and offers various items for purchase. Money raised by these sales goes to enhance the MPH athletic program, as does the money collected through donations to the Athletic Booster Club. Donations include both those in support of the general athletic program and those that are sport or team-specific.

Join Us!
            Parents of students in all divisions are warmly encouraged to come to meetings of the MPH Athletic Booster Club, which are announced on the MPH website and in the School’s monthly newsletter, the Icebox Bulletin. The success of the Athletic Booster Club depends upon the continued participation and support of MPH families and friends.
