Scrapbook: Florida Reunions 2006

In late April, Head of School Baxter Ball and Director of Alumni Relations Kasha Godleski traveled to Florida to catch up with alumni living in the area. On Tuesday, April 25, a group welcomed “the northerner” at Fred’s Restaurant in Sarasota. A great time was had by all as stories of their days at Manlius and Pebble Hill were exchanged. Baxter shared a short “State of the School” address and encouraged everyone to keep in touch with each other and the School. The next day, Baxter Ball traveled across “Alligator Alley” and hosted a dinner on the East Coast. Fifteen alumni and friends met at La Veranda Restaurant in Pompano Beach. More stories of the good ole days were exchanged and Baxter again shared the success of the School. A special thanks goes to John Ramsey ’59A, John Sullivan ’59HQ, and Bruce Badger ’53A who contacted alumni all over the state of Florida asking of their interest in a reunion and coordinating details. Another thank you goes to John Ramsey ’59A and Stu Hirsch ’63B who helped coordinate the two dinners.
