Scrapbook: Clambake Weekend 2006

Despite the rain and cool temperatures, alumni, faculty, former faculty, and friends came out in droves to attend one or more of the 13 events that were offered over the four days. The weekend kicked off on Thursday with close to 100 people attending the Leadership Recognition Dinner. A special thank you goes to the Performing Arts Faculty and our many talented students for putting together a great show for our special guests. The Clambake Golf Outing almost went off without a hitch. The first foursome missed the rain but the remaining six groups were drenched by the time they hit the Clubhouse. Alumni from Manlius, Pebble Hill, and MPH scattered on Friday night for different events held around town. The highlight for the Class of 2001 was their 5th reunion party hosted by Head of School Baxter Ball. Even though the temperature dropped dramatically on Saturday, attendance did not. A great crowd huddled under the large tent for Clambake where everyone enjoyed great food and wonderful company. The party continued at Jim Lawrence's retirement celebration at The Craftsman Inn in Fayetteville. Over 170 people thanked Jim for touching their lives and wished him well in his retirement. The weekend ended with a casual breakfast on Sunday where old friends got to say goodbye...until next year.
