Middle School After Hours
While Middle School students experience increased freedom as they move from Lower School, we find it is still important for them to be supervised at all times while on campus. For this reason, we offer an adult-supervised After-Hours Program that runs from dismissal to 5:30 p.m. This program allows students to remain after school for the full afternoon or for partial periods of time while parents work or until they can get to campus to pick up their child.
Students in the program use their time differently. Some choose to complete homework. Others like to play indoor games like “Magic” or “Minecraft.” Still others enjoy being active outdoors or watching MPH athletic events.
Students receiving after school academic help from a teacher or participating in sports or club activities often have to wait for a parent or guardian to pick them up; the After-Hours program enables them to remain on campus until their ride home arrives. Students not picked up from school activities within 15 minutes of the end of practice or club meetings will be sent to the After-Hours Program.
