  • For country research, I recommend the US State Department and the BBC site 
  • For current news try GALE online databases (see me for home access)
  • Click on DICTIONARIES for terms and vocabulary at  Grolier's  If you use Google, remember to use ADVANCED SEARCH.

General Information about Researching Countries and Issues

  • You can get news from your country from a newspaper published there

  • At BBC news click on COUNTRY PROFILES on left. Select your country from the drop down list and Click GO. You will find Q&A, Key Stories, Video, Timelines etc.

  • Wondering what the MPH library has on your country? Try typing your COUNTRY NAME into the library catalog 

  • Wikipedia is useful for getting an overview of a topic. Read about how to use it for research and note the information is more reliable if you use the links in REFERENCES, BIBLIOGRAPHY and EXTERNAL LINKS.
