Upper School: Academic RequirementsMPH expects students to explore their potential and challenge themselves academically. They must take a minimum of five academic courses each semester, not including fine and performing arts and physical education. An exception may be made when a course load includes Advanced Placement courses. With the many exciting electives available, students can plan stimulating schedules that expand their thinking and expose them to an array of academic disciplines. Students must earn a minimum of 23 credits for graduation, distributed as follows:

Advanced Placement Examination ResultsOver the last five years, 85 percent of Seniors have elected to take Advanced Placement (AP) coursework. In 2004, 239 Advanced Placement examinations were given to 111 students. Sixty-seven percent (67%) of those students scored "3" or better.
